Meke Boom Sea Surface Barrier

They are the fast spread “collecting oil and surrounding the pored oil“ type barrier. It is a kind of useful barrier type which has been developed to struggle with sea pollution by famous and well-trained companres of financial support of USA coast guard organization and with the researches done by universities. It is a “fast spread able light“barrier which is a ideal for all the operations requiring emergency interference. It is made of a special kind of cloth covered with PVC “bright orange color” on the weaved polyester. It is resistant to sun light, sea water, oil or petroleum derivates. it is suitable for NATO Naval standards. 1. Meke Boom "Mermaid 2500"

 

It is a kind of high seas barrier. 

It is successfully applied in preventing leakage. Placing on the surface of the sea can be carried out very quickly. Pollution can be taken under control by placing 100 m in maximum 15 minutes. Its 180 cm blockage surface can obtain a very successful contamination control at the outlet of discharge pipes

2. Meke Boom "Sea Watchman 1500"

 

It is used in the seas out of within and the harbors. It adapts to waves thanks to its flexible body and the ballast hidden on the based of the sea (chain weight), it can be successfully prevent the spread of dense contamination in the seas during stormy weather. 3. Meke Boom "Sea Inspector 1100"

 

it was reinforced stretcher ropes and ropes resistant against capsize. Which are improved for this purpose.

It has been prepared to be used quickly and easily at the petroleum depots and plants on the shores, at tankers, at seller ship which deliver goods, at the ships collecting slop-sludge for loading and unloading purposes. A quick service can be obtained with a wheeled or fixed reel with drum. It was used successfully in the contamination clearing works in 1997 after the 140.000 DWT M/T Turkish petroleum company tanker fire at Tuzla/İSTANBUL it has been used continually for four years at M/T BESTUG and M/T EFE-D bilge tankers of MEKE SEA CLEARİNG COMPANY and at MEKE rented barrier boat.

4. Meke Boom "Shore Watchman 1000"

 

It is a kind of mobile blockage type barrier with its height from sea 35 cm, its height under the sea 65 cm. ıt prevents escape of the liquid and solid contamination agent on the surface by easily adopting undulations in the water owing to its galvanized chain weight, which is hidden on the bottom. It is easy to spread and collect on the water surface. 100 m barrier is spread in 5 minutes and collected in 10 minutes.

It has been improved for ships bunkering, shipyards, and marinas. It is used easily with its fixed. Barrier reel on the deck-dock.

In addition;

            A) Ship which comes to the harbor for maintenance works may have the chance to get rid of the warning and fines of environmental control organization by surrounding the ship partly with this barrier according to the wind during the maintenance processes.

5. Meke Boom "Fisher 750"

 

It is a type which is improved in order to prevent the spread of contamination to the environment which may arise from feeding and various activities at fish production forms. It is a blockage type of barrier with 25 cm heights on the surface of the water and with 50 cm depth under the water.
